General= From 2014 to 2019 the cut off range is between 74 to 115 OBC-NCL= The cut off range of this category from 2014 to 2019 is between 45 to 74 SC= This category has the cut off range from 2014 to 2019 between 29 to 54 ST= From 2014 to 2019 this category has the range of cut off between 24 to 48
Counselling-
The seat allotment process is upon JoSAA and CSAB for admission in 100 institutes that participate in the process (31 NITs, 23 IITs, 23 GFTIs and 23 IIITs). The quota of seats will be based on many factors like merit, seat availability, etc. There are also arrangements for mock allotment before the actual allotment process for the candidates benefit so that they know to choose better for themselves.
Scheme of JEE Main Marking
The qualification for JEE Advanced gets decided from the JEE Main result, so if the candidate performs well in the JEE Main he or she will get eligibility to appear in the JEE Advance. The maximum score for paper 1 is 360 marks and for paper 2, the maximum score is 390 marks.
Rank Calculation:
The obtained percentage of JEE Main through normalization procedure decides the allotment of the ranks of the candidates. If two or more candidates get the same rank then there will be an inter-se-merit to determine the rank and work as a tie-breaker.
